Young Volunteers of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Help to Clean Up the City
On June 15, 2015, a group of young Armenian volunteers were involved in clean-up works, at the initiative of the Director of the Hayartun Center, Levon Chidilyan and the Director of the Youth Department of the Diocese, Valery Badalyan.

Volunteers attended the commemorative service delivered in the morning by Rev. Frs. Ter Samvel Torosyan and Ter Narek Ghushchyan in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church, Tbilisi. Then they headed to the Heroes Square and Laguna Vere territory to help clean up the roads with spades and other necessary equipment. After working all day, young volunteers expressed readiness to participate in providing humanitarian assistance.

Heavy flooding in Tbilisi on June 14, 2015, has killed at least 15 people. Among the victims 4 Armenians – Lianna, Zhanna and Svetlana Eghiazarovas and Nana Tilishvili-Eghiazarova; 9 people are still missing. A total of 24 families are left without shelter. Rescue operations are under way.
