On May 22, the Vahram Gaifetchyan Union of Creators of Akhaltskha hosted an event dedicated to the 90th birthday of world renowned singer Charles Aznavour.

During the event, President of the Union Alexander Igitkhanyan read the rich biography of Charles Aznavour and shared his memories of the day that Aznavour visited Akhaltskha and the local Armenian school.

Aznavour’s relatives in Akhaltskha whom Aznavour doesn’t know also attended the event.

During the event, Aznavour’s poems were read, and the gathered listened to several songs of Aznavour.
