5th anniversary of the Armenian Youth Educational-Cultural Center in Akhaltskha
The Armenian Youth Educational-Cultural Center in Akhaltskha gave a concert dedicated to its 5th anniversary at one of the halls in Akhaltskha on December 22.

 Attending the event were leaders and representatives of the Armenian Youth Educational-Cultural Center in Akhaltskha, Chairwoman of the Armenian Relief Society in Georgia Karine Tadevosyan, Priest of Akhaltskha Tigran Mkhitaryan, former director of the Center Grigor Minasyan and many other guests.

 The event began with the Lord’s Prayer, after which Center representative Nanuli Hakobyan expressed her deep gratitude to all the guests on behalf of the entire staff of the organization, as well as presented the activities of the past five years and upcoming programs.

 During the concert, the members of the center performed many beautiful Armenian folk dances, as well as folk and ethnographic songs. They also performed the Georgian folk dance, which went to show that the Center has various types of activities, highly respects and has good knowledge of the Georgian natural culture.

 During the concert, the members of the junior, intermediate and senior clubs charmed the audience as they performed the marvelous songs and dances that they had learned at the Center throughout the years.  

 At the end, Chairman of the Armenian Relief Society in Georgia Karine Tadevosyan expressed her deep admiration to the Youth Center, donated a beautiful icon and wished the Center’s staff and members new achievements in this difficult task of preserving the Armenian identity.

 The Armenian Youth Educational-Cultural Center in Akhaltskha was renovated and opened with help from the U.S. Western Region’s "Javakhk” Foundation on September 25, 2006.
